I can't text while driving.. I tried it once, in my neighborhood, and nearly hit a parked car.
I drive through traffic here every day, and see nearly every truck driver talking on a cell phone. To paint the scene, they're driving a 5 ton vehicle in 6 lanes of traffic at 70+ mph, talking on a cell phone, with thousands of other idiots in cars, trucks, and SUVs, weaving in and out of lanes at 80+ mph, also talking on cell phones.
Personally, i'd want to have my eyes on the road. And I support making it illegal to text and drive, much the same as it is for speeding or running a red light.
