Let us know your timings. There are 5 or 6 of us here, depending on timing, so we should go to a pub or summat. My parents are here August & very early September so we have babysitters.
That sounds fairly aweseome. I'll arrive on 26 August and leave on 30 August.
So, I'm asking for tips: What is there to see/do in Edinburgh? Information on an affordable hotel/hostel would be really welcome, too, but that might be asking for too much.
Mix's list is good, as is Legolas'. What kind of accommodation do you want? Hostel, hotel, B&B? Can give you a good idea, I think, if you state which you'd prefer.
A hostel is probably my best option. I'll be staying for four nights and I probably don't want to spend all my savings on this trip.
If you stay in the SYHA in Haddington Place (top of Leith Walk) then you're very close to the best gay bars.
I checked their web page, it does sounds good at first glance. I'll chech it better when I have more time.
What to do in Edinburgh?

Or just walk down the High Street and watch the street performers.
