the one about it still being legal to shoot any Scot you encounter inside the walls of York, at least if you use bow and arrow, is fairly amusing. Though possibly apocryphal...


Well still being legal in the sense that it isn't really. It is has never actually been repealed directly but just try doing it and seeing how that works for you
When Acts contradict each other, it is implied that the earlier law has been repealed. (with some rare exceptions like the human rights act)
