I understand what he was saying, and in the US Congressional context it would be totally normal to refer to someone by a title like that (Mr. Speaker, Mr. Chairman, etc.), but it was still sort of funny.


The Labour spokes people pointed that out pretty quickly, that it was normal for a US politician. Though I did like the suggestion that if he gets to know Milliband better he will start to call him by his first name, Opposition.
