For someone who hates airplanes, you sure picked the wrong service branch; only one of them can get you to Europe without a plane, and it ain't the Air Farce. But, yeah, I have wanted to see Germany for quite a while, Bavaria in particular, and there was small chance of skipping Neushcwanstein even before showing it to the wife just now (however, she has informed me I am buying it for her.... )
Well the moment he told me he proposed over there I immediately said 'Paris, Rome, Venice or Fairy Castle?' and he replied 'Fairy Castle, dude I hate Paris more than you do' - incidentally I happen to like Northern France it's just Paris id dirty and smelly, so is Venice. Rome is great. Anyway its not that I hate flying... though I do hate helicopters, I just hate being in cramped quarters with people I don't know and unable to smoke. I have a touch of Agoraphobia rather than Acrophobia. I used to work for the air force as a civilian, planes themselves only bug me a bit more than a bus, smallcraft don't... trains don't, which breaks the crowd pattern [shrugs].
Sounds more like claustrophobia, unless you mean "agora" in the same way ancient Greeks used it. I definitely sympathize you on extended periods in cramped non-smoking quarters though; I REALLY hate transatlantic flights because of that. The only practical response is sleeping to the extent possible. Sadly, despite having often slept on a tiny study lounge sofa with my legs hanging over one hard wooden arm rest and the other behind my neck as a "pillow," sleeping on planes remains a challenge for me. If crowds, cramped quarters and inability to smoke is a problem though, there probably is no service branch that really fits you.
I'd forgotten about BG's fondness for Germany, hate to say it but I tend to forget anything people don't tell me directly beyond stuff like nationality, area of study/hobby, and ideological tendency.
No worries, at least from me; commenting on how forgettable women are where visible to them can be dangerous....
