I fear you may be missing the point, deliberately or not. - Edit 2

1000 combat losses per year was the worst US casualty rate since Vietnam, with no end in sight, underscoring the emptiness of "Mission Accomplished" banners and POTUS showboating his way onto aircraft carriers in fighters. 200 combat losses is nothing to cheer about, but about five times less painful, the end is clearly in sight and so is bin Ladens rotting corpse to justify both departure and return. Finally, after obscene wastes of money, energy, time and, above all, our soldiers lives in Iraq, Obama actually accomplished Bushs mission for him.
Now, I can sit here all day telling you what is wrong with Obama, and he sure dragged his feet on that promise to get us out of Iraq by 2010, but his handling of Afghanistan after Bush let all the bad guys sneak off to Pakistan (including bin Laden, as everyone always knew) is hard to criticize. Would you prefer bin Laden were still in an ISI safehouse plotting the next 911 while Bush told us he neither knew nor cared where the man is?
