Hard to think of better examples, but yeah it's hardly an automatic Isaac Send a noteboard - 13/06/2012 11:20:25 PM
... are you angrier at her because she turned out to be pro-life, or some other fairly common viewpoint you don't happen to share, or because she said something really freaky akin to attending a friends dinner party and finding they've got a copy of Mein Kampf and Birth of a Nation lying around?

I'm fairly sure we have Birth of a Nation lying around, though I haven't gotten around to watching it yet... and I wouldn't really see any harm in acquiring Mein Kampf, either.

I can think of creepier things to find lying around, honestly. :P

Nothing particularly weird about having it on the shelf admittedly, I'm really just referencing those things one encounters while visiting someone's home that serve as 'Uh... okay...' moments of insight. I should imagine both of our bookshelves just scream bookworm regardless of individual items but people's households are usually indicative and if your buddy's got a Nazi flag hanging up and he says 'Yeah, Grandpa brought that over in 1945' and you ask 'army?' and he says 'Nah, Luftwaffe' a feeling of creepiness is permissible subject to later discreet verification. I'm just talking about those general moments in life where someone makes a comment or slip that makes one pause for serious character reappraisal, not many specific items or comments without context are really auto-creeps.
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.
