Oh, the loans.. Kel Send a noteboard - 29/04/2012 04:05:34 AM
1. How much debt did you accumulate while in college (or are tracking to accumulate for you current students)?

I rang up about $25,000 by the time I was done. (graduated in 1998 ) I was lucky, I would work construction during the summer break, which meant I would only have to take loans for part of my year. My parents helped too.

2. What are your loan terms? How long and how much per month?

I honestly don't remember. I did have to take a hardship forbearance after graduation, I couldn't afford the payments and still pay my bills. I did finally pay the loans off, years later. It felt great when the last payment was made.

3. What was your major/area of study?

Economics

4. If you had a chance to do everything again (school, major, debt amount), would you? What would you have changed, if anything?

I would.. I enjoyed college. If anything, I would have probably studied something more interesting, like Geology.
