I've spent the last, oh, 5-ish months applying for PhDs at various places in the US and the UK (and one place in Germany). Over the last month, I received funded offers from quite a few of those places, and have been in the process of narrowing things down.
Today, I finally made up my mind and filled out official forms and stuff, and made it all scarily real.
I'll be starting a PhD in Mathematical Physics at the University of Glasgow this September.
I feel like I just started university; I have no idea how I got so old and grown up!

Isn't it nice when you get to look back at your life and see that despite the struggles along the way, and moments when everything seemed awful, somehow things move forward and work out, and you've accumulated quite a few impressive accomplishments!
PhD in Mathematical Physics is about the most hardcore topic I can imagine, so kudos. Very cool.

By the time she gets there, the question might be "Celtic or Celtic?" *NM*
