I will skip the semi-obligatory "kids are starvin' in Japan" comments; it is time I could spend re-learning how to color stick figures.... 

it's not like the money is going to the "make rich burlew filthy rich" campaign. he has set very tangible goals for reprinting all 7 books in his catalog, added a coloring book, stickers, expansion packs for his board game based on oots, and people still keep on giving money. as of right now, he's raised $1million *over* the initial amount he was asking for, with an average donation of roughly $85 each. impressed is definitely the correct emotion, considering how poor gamers claim to be all the time
