I can imagine that finding any specific kind of dog would be kind of difficult. Could you ask at the vet? Or at a Kennel Club? They might have ideas.
It is, but I've already come across the occasional schnauzie on my searches. I wouldn't be able to have a puppy, but I'm ok saving an older fella. What I've done is look up schnauzer specific rescues, and there are quite a few people involved. We'll see. We're not quite ready yet, or I'd get Lily (link).
I'd like our first dog(s) to be a mongrel. Preferably with Labrador in there somewhere, but not too fussy. My dog (that I had to get put down) was a Border Collie/mongrel mix and though naughty she was lovely. I miss her.
I like the naughty ones, as long as it's manageable naughtiness. I'm still kinda nervous about either of those breeds though (labs, collies), because of the energy level. I'm not sure I could provide enough exercise.
Arrgh, I want a dog!
