Also: you know I said our first dog will be a shelter dog? That's because in the fulness of time I'd like a Newfoundland and they're a bit harder to find in shelters.
But that's a long time in the future, once there are no tiny children. We'll have shleter dogs before that. 


I am sure they would be hard to find. I am already on the lookout for schnauzer rescue groups, because that is what I want. If I can't find one, I'll be sad - haven't decided yet if I will then get one from a breeder.
