I personal try to avoid bad carbs when I can for all the reasons you listed. I guess the point I was trying to make is if you want to eat a bad carb now and then it won't hurt your weight loss goals as long as you keep the calories down. She said she was getting bored so throwing in some bad carbs now and again won't hurt her.
Still doing well on the diet. Mostly.
