Legwork. - Edit 1

Before modification by Aeryn at 25/01/2012 04:21:00 PM

(Please note I did not call it a resolution.. in my experience, resolutions are doomed to fail, while goals are generally met :) )

1. Spend less money than last year in every category. Spend as much as in 2008.

2. Do a big trip abroad, planned out very well, and budget-conscious. Learn basic conversational phrases in local languages prior to visit.

(So far the tentative plan is 17 nights in Spain + Morocco. Still undecided where in Spain - only Madrid area, or also Granada, and how long. The Morocco leg will be planned by my bf. But if we pull this off, I'm going to be thrilled to pieces.)

3. Get a new job.

(I actually want to be working elsewhere in 3-4 months. So I need to network like crazy, update my resume, read industry magazines and books. My goal is a job that won't be just a little better, a little more money, something that anyone would be grateful to have, but still not exactly what I want. I need to be bold enough to ask for what my heart truly desires. Work which would delight and inspire me. So, my goal = apply for MBA-level jobs without an MBA or experience.)

4. Get to work early.

5. Be more involved in alumni network/fundraising. Connect with other alums.

6. Exercise more than last year (4 times a month).

7. Donate clothing to Goodwill (a pending to-do for two years now). On the same note, get new Social Security card. Get HPV vaccine.

8. Give away 100 books this year (14 so far as of 1/25/12, 58 last year).
