I'd prefer it if you avoid attacks against an entire group for the acts of a few. I realize that this is the internet, and subtly has never been its (or for that matter your) strong suit, but a token effort would be appreciated.
It would also be poor form if you attack a group for defending themselves from slander, though the form of that defense makes a difference. Attacking Santorum because he compares homosexuality with bestiality and pedophilia is completely legitimate. Starting a campaign on the internet to define his name as a particular sexual byproduct is beyond the line of generally acceptable behavior, though I admit that I still laugh at it. And yes, I agree that this campaign is bullying.
Also, not all politically active gays participate in these kinds of attacks. As with virtually any group of people, the loud and obnoxious members of the group get all of the attention.
