Especially since the salmonella scare of 1988.
Apparently in some countries there is no salmonella to speak of, so people happily eat raw eggs.
I like my eggs over-easy and will not stop now. I have had many an argument about runny yolks with a woman in my office who teaches USDA food safety. But maybe they are being over cautious?
What do they tell you about cooking the yolks where you are? I think that telling people they couldn't have their egg cups and dipping soldiers would cause a civil war.
