There is nothing wrong with not working in your field

If is because you are making more money or you decided you enjoy the other field better. IF you have a EE you can make low six figures with some experience which most people consider good money but yes there are fields that pay better. Some of the best paid people at my company are our sales reps. A lot of them have engineering degrees but not all. I did and I never finished my degree.
In fact that may be something you want to look at. Look at the companies selling to your field and you might have some luck. The ability to talk intelligently to people in the field goes a long way and sales pays. I am not criticizing people for making bad choices, god knows I have made enough of those. What I am criticizing is people who make bad decisions and blame other people. That and rants that are factually weak.

It's really mostly correct, and also highlights why OWS was a total failure.

I always like to include useful pieces of trivia in my rants, like a lollipop from the dentist

I disagree, but think generational influences are often oversimplified.

Well, without a cite there is no way to know if we are looking at the same stuff.

I wouldn't be putting the blame on Generation X. People have been screwing up the next generation

So pretty much each succeeding generation of humanity is worse off

Nah. Nature compensates in some unfathomable way to keep us from going to hell in a handbasket.
