Some of the stories are indisputably legit, which means I am being entertained by the unusual deaths of people who were very stupid, unlucky or both, but were still people, with families who love and miss them. Not knowing whether any given story actually happened makes me feel marginally better, but ultimately I still do not know whether I am enjoying a good story or a gruesome death.
