As fellow American citizens, We are calling upon all police officers everywhere to refuse orders to assault unarmed and peaceful protestors.
Ignore the ILLEGAL orders coming down from your supervisors and their corporate slave-masters to beat, pepper spray, mace or tear gas these non-violent demonstrators.
Listen to the words of Sgt Shamar Thomas, former LAPD police officer Michael Ruppert, former Police Captain Ray Lewis (see URLs below).
Know that there is no honor in attacking American citizens who are not threatening you with any violence.
Know from this moment on, that any and all officers who assault unarmed, peaceful demonstrators are hereby determined to be ENEMY COMBATANTS. You will be held accountable for your actions, and eventually you WILL be treated in the manner deserved of enemy combatants the world over.
Lay down your batons, lay down your pepper spray, your mace, your tear gas guns, your beanbag guns and your rubber bullet guns. Turn to your supervisor and say: "Sir, no more. I will not allow you to harm any more of the American people. You sir, are under arrest for crimes against the People of the United States."
The American people are not going to tolerate the abuses coming out of too many American police departments, behavior that seems to be more fitting coming from a 3rd world dictator's security forces, or from the backwards police departments of the American South during the Civil Rights Movement, too much like the fascist police department of Chicago during the Democratic Convention of 1968.
Actions such as those are no longer acceptable police actions. You must stop it now. There are plenty of police officers, and police departments, across America that have not resorted to the aggressive and violent tactics we are seeing on the news.
The Albany (New York) PD, the NY State PD, the Lansing (Michigan) PD and others have given a shining example of how the police and the Occupation demonstrators can PEACEFULLY co-exist.
Show yourselves to be true and honorable American citizens, and live up to those examples. Stop acting like the thugs of some middle eastern dictator. Stop abusing the same people you have SWORN AN OATH TO PROTECT.
Signed,
The American People.
