I am quite grateful I have no need to deal with the issue beyond my overall commitment to everyones right to live freely and without fear. Beyond that... "wrong" is a very big word. I am somewhat conflicted, but logic, tradition and, yes, the religious belief to which I subscribe strongly contend homosexuality is morally wrong. Those things can be argued to be ambiguous but, IMHO, that argument requires torturing logic, common sense and the many relevant sections of the pertinent texts. Of course, all those things also contend everyone is guilty of one or more moral wrongs, and some moral wrongs carry an inherent penalty often accepted to be sufficient in itself. Even if arguments for homosexualitys morality prove unsound, what I consider logical arguments against it (primarily, procreation) may be the whole of its penalty, which many do not consider a penalty, and may soon be obviated by technology regardless.
Ultimately, whether homosexuality is wrong is irrelevant to anyone not engaged in it; the relevant question is who should decide and what they should do about it. I am reminded, as I so often am, of Justice Blackmuns majority ruling in Roe v. Wade: Lacking the authority, knowledge and obligation to say whether homosexuality is wrong there is no reason I should; it is enough, once again, to assert everyones right to freely live as they please. Liberalism does not mean endorsing everything, only defending the right of consenting adults to live as they please without fear or restraint.
Sorry for getting all serious, but I wanted to make the above distinctions clear. I did chuckle, if that helps any.
EDIT: Also, if you have not yet tried Easy Tutu for Baldur's Gate, I strongly recommend it; it has given new life to my appreciation of BGI.
