I was overwhelmed by a sense that my technology was getting a bit obsolete now that the new iPhone 4S came out (and I just have the iPhone 4), so I bought the iPad 2 (64 GB, Wi-Fi+3G).
The thing is that I nickname all my electronic stuff and I'm not sure other people do this so I wanted to ask if other people give actual real nicknames to electronic stuff. For example, they suggest stuff like "Tom's phone" or "Tom's iPod" or "Main Computer" or crap like that.
I named my iPods Snippy and Snippy II, I named my iPhone Sneaky and my iPad is now Snooty. The pattern is, of course Sn***y. Snarky is another option (I guess if I get a second iPad since I hate Macs). So is Snoopy, I guess, or Snotty, or Snakey, or Snoggy, or Snobby, or Snapey (if I were a bigger Harry Potter fan). The thing is that it's only my Apple technology stuff that gets nicknames (well, my Hewlett-Packard graphing calculator in high school got the name "Spencer", but that was an isolated case).
So my survey part is: do you do this? Do you give real, actual nicknames to devices beyond designations like "computer in home office" or "secondary cell" or something like that? If so, what sorts of nicknames are they? And, if you do, are you as anal retentive as I am in having a system for naming?

My GPS is named Dolores. In my defense, she sounds like a Dolores. And she's all bitchy. *NM*
