I think he has several problems. Since he has written so many books and spent so much time giving opinions on his radio show there is going to be a wealth of things to attack him with. With todays elections it is way to hard to stay on message and way to easy to force a candidate to spend all his time trying to defend and explaining his actions. Cain's job was to say things that excited people and got them talking so you know there has to be a lot of bullets out there to shoot him with.
So far I have seen where he thought the idea that we were going into a recession was hype created by the democrats. Not good for a guy he claims the economy is strong point. He has said he wants and electric fence with an alligator moat on the border and blamed liberal courts for executing Jesus. All of those thing may be explainable but explaining them distracts from his message and puts him on the defensive. Saying it was just rhetoric will won't sell well. Since his message doesn't seem to extended much beyond saying 999 that may not hurt him as much as it could.
He has no experience in government. I theory that isn't a deal breaker but he refuses to accept that 999 will be a hard sell and doesn't seem to have a plan B or really any platform beyond it. 999 is a regressive tax system and it will never make it through the senate. He has also said he will balance the budget in his first year. Ain't happening. Is he just going to veto ever spending bill that comes across his desk until the republicans in congress are forced to override him to keep the government functioning? I would like to know the answer to that.
There is difference between being bold and being stupidly naive and reckless.
He has no money.
He has no organization.
If Perry is smart, and that hasn't been proven yet, he will stop attacking Romney and go after Cain. Cain is pulling Perry votes not Romney. Perry doesn't have much of chance but the only chance he does have is make it a Perry Romney race again. The reality is it a Perry Romney race now and those are the only two with a real chance of wining. I suspect that after Cain slips Perry will win some of his support back but with the hyper partisan nature of todays politics who knows. It think it ironic that the RINO hunters only achievement will be to get the most liberal candidate nominated. Romney loves Cain and with Perry all but dead in the water this could be a cake walk for Romney. If I am wrong and Cain wins it could be a cake walk for Obama.

So I am curious. What do our site conservatives think of Cain?
