And I want your advice. My survey is simple.
1. I'm thinking of getting "Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall." Any other Pink Floyd albums that you would recommend, and are those two good to start with?
My two favorite Floyd songs are on "Meddle"- "One of These Days", and "Fearless".
I like "On the Turning Away" on Momentary Lapse.
My favorite album is Wish You Were Here. It is a must.
2. In a completely unrelated note, what are you listening to? I've got "Walk" by the Foo Fighters on.
Last I hit shuffle on the ipod, Ingrid Michaelson's "Be OK" came up.
For a long time it was one of only three that I liked, but "The Dogs of War" and "Sorrow" won me over after many years. Not sure if you will see it further down, but I thought you might be interested to learn (unless you already have) moondog once told me David Gilmour plays the baseline for "One of These Days." I still love Roger as a lyricist, but he seems to leave much to be desired as a musician.

My opinion is that in general, one should always start chronologically.

Technically, that does not answer the question, but does by implication.

Those are excellent starts, but I cannot deny they are overplayed.
