I tried something similar, but with Norwegian.

Then I realized what a waste of time that was, and considered quitting.

Then I realized how much time I was wasting anyway, and kept at it for a while. (Might as well waste time on something educational)

Then I realized it was a waste of time and boring, and it would be something I never would have a chance to practice IRL, so I found ways to waste my time that were more fun.



I might do this if it were a more important language, like Chinese, Spanish or Klingon.
