I don't have a single one, but my girlfriend has many. I'm not sure why that is. - Edit 1

Is there some fundamental difference in family dynamics that gives rise to such words? The closest I come is a few choice phrases of my fathers that I picked up over the years but wouldn't repeat in a public place. My girlfriend, on the other hand, has terms for all sorts of things. Eating food can be called snaffling. Wal-Mart is Squalor-Mart. Et cetera. Her family has more of a British background than mine. Would that have something to do with it? I don't know. Maybe some people just like to make up words, and when they have kids, their kids pick them up. Hell, if I became a parent I'd probably make up all kinds of words too.
