I set a quiz for my team at work today, thinking at least one person would get 10/10. Highest score was 7.
You've all got me confused. I don't know what a regular person would know anymore.
I imagine that there'd be plenty of 10/10s for these questions on this site. But do bear in mind that I wrote it for a British audience, so the question on Rugby is perfectly sensible.
1. Which of the world's oceans is the largest?
The large one on the west coast of the US. Passive Ocean, or whatever.
2. Which animated 2010 film was the highest grossing film of the year?
Animated, 2010... ehrm. Was that the year of the blue people in space?
3. Who wrote Animal Farm?
Eric Something. Born in india. Oh, yeah. Last name like some recent british prime minister. Eric Cameron? Nope. Eric Thatcher? Not at all. Major Eric? Nah. Eric Blair. Now we are talking.
4. What is the capital ciy of Cambodia?
I could probably pull this one off if I only had to say it... Phnom Penh? I can never guess where to put the h's.
5. Complete this famous foursome: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, ???
Go Ninja! Of course the answer is casey jones. Or michelangelo, whatever.
6. Who won the Rugby World Cup in 1995?
Brazil won the real world cup in 94. This rugby thing is just strange.
7. What is the French word for "black"?
Quel est le mot anglais pour 'noir'?
8. In which century was the American War of Independence fought?
Independence. Meh. Overrated. But I am certain that the 18th century wig-wearers didn't think so.
9. Which chemical element has the symbol Na?
That's just easy. It's Natrium. If you ferriners have different names for it, that's your problem.
10. A leveret is a baby what?
Levee. Obviously.
And my tie-breaker question: What do you call a person from Monaco? (No one knew this.)
Monegasque, I assume. Could be spelled differently, but my spell checker isn't complaining.

You people have broken me.

It's not that crazy. Ok, some of it is basic, but some is just trivia.
