According to Jacob I'm kind of like spyware, fading away and lurking for a while

I've been noticing over the last few hours (since yesterday really) loads of pictures and status updates complaining about the new facebook layout changes, seems people can't or don't want to get their heads around the way the newsfeed is now laid out.
So the questions are:
1. Does the new layout bother you? If so can you give an explanation?
I wouldn't say it "bothers" me, but I don't like it. I don't understand how it's supposed to be helpful, and I prefer to just be able to go in and see in chronological order what my people have been up to since the last time I checked in. I feel like I'm going to miss stuff if facebook is deciding what to include and what not to and what order to put it all in. I might appreciate this new organization if I had more friends (heh), but since I only "friend" people I actually know and care to interact with regularly, this is more annoying than helpful to me. But I'm probably not doing social networking right.
I don't think there is a right way or a wrong way to do social networking, after all it's how you personally interact with people that counts.
The other annoying thing is that I keep having to go in and tell it to stop e-mailing me about stuff. I got about 30 e-mails over 2 days last week because "someone mentioned me" in a group post and I got notified every time somebody replied. Which I guess might have been interesting except it wasn't true...one of the posters happened to mention something they were going to be doing next [month that is the same as my last name] and it all spiraled out of control from there
One of the few things that's always bothered me about facebook is the constant e-mailing on things I have no interest in, when you're getting hundreds of e-mails a week from people commenting on pics you've been tagged in it can get a tad annoying lol
2. Have you posted a status update about the new layout?
No. I did share the someecards pic though.
3. Are you just like me and couldn't care less about the changes as long as you can keep in touch with people?
My problem is that it seems to make it harder for me to keep in touch with people. Maybe that's because I don't know how to make it work for me. But I keep unchecking things that are marked as "top stories" in the hopes that it goes away eventually.
I think in a few weeks when they iron out all the bugs it'll be just as easy (still facebook complicated ) as it always was
Thank you, that is all.

I'm not sure why you think I don't know that or what warranted an eyeroll, but okay.

I've read every response in this thread, and no one seems to understand how this stuff works.

Well then maybe there should be explanations that accompany these changes

There ARE explanations. People just ignore them.

I could be wrong too; it's happened before. Pretty sure I have it right, though.
