The only really great thing about that movies is he sounded so much like a drill instructor random thoughts Send a noteboard - 22/09/2011 03:01:13 PM
I can't say from personal experience about how they sounded in the 70's but that is how they sounded in 1985. If my drill instructor caught you eye fucking him (looking at him while he screamed in your face) then he would ask if were looking at him because you wanted to fuck him. There is no correct answer to that question by the way. I have no idea what he would have done if someone had yes but all no got you was "what am I not pretty enough for you, look at me private do think I am to damn ugly for you?"

Believe it or not there is a huge amount of homo erotic behavior in the Marines. When I ask my son what he thought about having to serve with gays his biggest concern was you could not act gay with an actual gay guy around or he might take you serious. The real problem the first openly gay marines will have probably will not come from homophobes but from some of the very very religious conservative in the officer corps. The average Marine won't give a shit unless they go all PC and start asking the Corps to change in ways it doesn't want to in order to accommodate them.
