So I just spoke to Monroe's mother - Edit 1

As many of you know, Monroe had a really bad accident several years ago, and as a result required several surgeries.
Well, he had a surgery in March of 2010, and after the surgery he was moved to a rehab center for - well, rehab. He was doing well, and was scheduled to come home on March 30th. His mother was with him, for most of the day on the 28th and he was scheduled for an x-ray, and so he told her to go home, that he'd call her later.
An hour after she got home, she got a call from the hospital, she thought it was Monroe calling, but instead it was the hospital calling to tell her he'd passed.
The doctors determined that it was a blood clot that traveled to his heart, and caused a pulmonary embolism.
The nurse who took him to the x-ray told his mother that he stood up from the wheel chair to go get the x-ray, that he got a pained look on his face and just collapsed right there. She said he was dead immediately, and that they tried to resuscitate him, but that it just didn't work.
His mother found comfort in the fact that he had so many friends, people that she didn't even know he had as friends, who would take the time to call and contact her to find out what happened. (Including someone from PA who met him in a chat room and came down to visit him who found Mrs. Sanford about 6 months ago on FB - was that someone here??)
She is comforted, she told me, that he will live on in our memories.
Rest in Peace Monroe.
