ok, so I've been wondering... and wondering... and wondering where the heck has Monroe gone. I figured maybe he, like so many others, have just left or lurked or whatever.
Well, I finally just had it dawn on me that I could google him. Seems he has passed... about a year and a half ago, actually. The only info I've found is the start of the story from his local newspaper. You have to have a subscription to read the rest of the story, so I don't know the exact details. I tried to sign up just to read that, but am having technical difficulties.
Anyway, I just thought it was a good idea to share with others who might care. I'll link to the one page that I found.
*EDIT*
ok, so I logged into the newspaper, thinking maybe he might have had a subscription at one time and took a guess at what his username/password might be. Anyway, first time was a charm. Guess I could read that paper if I wanted. Anyway, this is the whole story. Still not much:
MONROE SANFORD III
Monroe Anthony “Sonny” Sanford III, 34, of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, March 28, 2010, in a local hospital.
Mr. Sanford was born April 14, 1975, in Malvern, Ark. He was employed with Swift Transport, an Eagle Scout and a Baptist.
Survivors include his parents, Monroe and Cindy Sanford of Texarkana; his grandmother, Minnie Thomas Sanford of Texarkana; and a number of other relatives.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to Texarkana Animal Care and Adoption Center, 203 Harrison St., Texarkana, AR 71854 or a favorite charity.
Online registration is at www.texarkanafuneralhome.com.

That's terrible. It doesn't even say what happened to him. He was a young guy.
