Americans love the UK and I think American politicians are very happy that there is another nation that shares a common heritage with us (culturally, politically and historically speaking and, to a lesser extent, ethnically) and with whom we share so many of the same ideals, principles and foreign policy objectives. That having been said, it's only natural that the relationship is a bit one-sided because the US economy is so much larger, the US military is so much larger and the US population is so much larger than the UK's. Isn't that obvious to everyone?
