Just because you don't like the quote doesn't make the person citing it "left leaning". - Edit 2

You seem to have gone from assuming I read left wing blogs like Kos and DU (even though I never do) because I advocate policies and analysis you dispute, to assuming that anything I DO read online is left wing because I read it. The facts of the matter are that, rightly or wrongly, outside of TX, and even among his own partys leaders, Perry is widely seen as W II, and that's highly toxic to an American electorate polls say still blame Bush over Obama for the current economic mess (by a 2:1 margin). Perry would be a political dream come true for Obama, because he could actually do what would otherwise be impossible: Run for re-election against Bush, in effect if not in fact (though I still don't see major policy differences between Perry and Bush). Not that it matters; corporate America long ago anointed their candidate (which is also the only reason he can beat a President whose unpopularity is only exceeded by that of every single one of his potential opponents), so sit down, shut up and do as you're told like a GOOD Republican (why do you hate America...? )
For a partisan source though, here's TNR citing S&P blaming the downgrade on your beloved Tea Party:
