I guess I need to update my calendar.
Leaving aside my own political leanings, I kept thinking, "If this were an email, I would hope my email filter would block this." Too many links for me to give a damn anymore.
For one thing, the Blazing Saddles clip is dead on, which just makes it funnier. Most of the rest amount to not wanting to copy in three entire articles when I could just link two of them if any wants to read them and let people skip over them if they didn't, and the realization that, even among those with political interests, a lot of folks don't automatically know what the Glass-Steagall Act did, why it existed or why it was repealed (which is really too bad since, once again, it pretty much singlehandedly caused the subprime mortgage disaster; when people sit around wondering "how could this happen?!" the answer is usually "because you didn't pay attention to how it happened last time".
) Oh, and I also accidentally twice linked the article I pasted, because I was going to post all three and use the title as a link until I realized that was just going to prompt a series of "tl;dr" responses.
