On the other hand, he still needs a LOT of work if he's ever gonna be a successful pro QB. What it boils down to, so far as I can see, is that he DOES have a lot of raw talent and athletic ability--which allowed him to be a very successful NCAA QB without having to bother learning how to throw crisp passes, so he never did. He's finally being forced to confront the same challenges a lot of talented would be QBs had to in college or HS, if not sooner, but if he and his team are willing to put in the work he COULD be a very good pro QB. In two or three years. Maybe. He's got the arm and athleticism, plus he's smart and a hard worker, but he has to learn how to read defenses and throw accurately because he can't get away with zinging a ball through defenders (not that his predecessor is exactly above that) or taking off on a broken field run anymore. Hell of a reason to trade away a Pro Bowl QB and blow a #10 pick on a new one, but if there's a Football Hell Josh McDaniels will surely be there one day; last year he made Denver football Hell.
Meanwhile Denver fans will simply have to take our lumps, because unless Moreno finally shows us something our offense runs from mediocre to awful, and our Swiss cheese defense hasn't been able to find anything better to plug the middle than re-signing another Denver pick from Florida. Yeah, we got Marcus Thomas AND Tim Tebow; if the SEC were the football gods they're supposed to be rather than just a prime example of what's wrong with the NCAAs elected champions we'd be set for the next decade.
It sucks to be Brian Xanders though, because if you start Orton the fans will be screaming for your head; if you start Tebow, the players will.
EDIT: I take it back; although Thomas is from Florida, Jarvis Moss was the first round pick we blew on a Gator prior to doing so with Tebow. Yet another star SEC player who's camp fodder in the League where championships are won on the field rather than with press conferences and mail in ballots.

I see a lot of Wildcat formations, goal line stands and game-already-decided possessions for Tebow. *NM*
