1. What is your favorite summer food?
That's...ridiculously hard to answer. I'm going to say local sweet corn, just because it's one of the few things I really only eat in summer.
2. What is your favorite grilled meal?
A nice ribeye with a side of grilled asparagus.
3. What do you put on your hotdogs?
Only stadium mustard. Ballpark mustard is an acceptable substitute.

Lettuce, tomato, raw onion, pickles, and Dijon mustard (yes, I have very particular mustard tastes

Water for practical purposes. Cold beer (Hoegaarden or Holy Moses) for less practical purposes.
5. Do you live close to any Mom 'n' Pop type restaurants, or would you really have to go looking to find one?
We have several, which is really nice. A BBQ joint (a few things are good but DAMN everything is majorly smoked), a brewery (great beer but awful food), an Italian place we really like that I'm still counting even though they have 2 locations now, and a pizza place that is a real gem in a town full of chain pizza places.
5a. If yes, what if your favorite menu item?
Of these, the pizza place is my favorite. My favorite pie there has pepperoni, pepperoncini, mushrooms, and smoked mozzarella. They have a lot of good stuff (my second favorite has wild mushrooms and a 4-cheese blend with gorgonzola and goat cheese) but I always seem to order the same thing
