Should I not find these so fascinating? saangrealsmoker Send a noteboard - 10/07/2011 12:21:26 AM
Because I'm kinda, well, not exactly "liking" them, but I do find them interesting. I agree with one of the comments on that page which pretty much said that we're too whipped by the media into associating death with "bad", "creepy", "scary" and other nonsense.

Most of these little guys didn't bother me at all. I actually find a few of them to be funny, like little dude on his horse. And when I ponder on the family's point of view, I start to think that maybe they got a little fond chuckle out of the pic too. Maybe distract from whatever took the little guy down in the first place, I dunno. The only unsettling thing about these pictures is the fact that I am looking at something so deeply private and important.

What's worse to me by far are those stupid "ectoplasm" photos from the same era. Also known as "How much cheesecloth can I shove down my throat and regurgitate on a whim?". Now that's some weird stuff.

On a side note: I know that opportunities to have your picture taken back then were few and far between, but that's still no reason for the one guy to pose like this is a photoshoot for the headshots he's gonna send to his agent! (The 11th pic)
