and based on her lies to the authorities she should be guilty of child neglect at least. If you dont report your child missing for 30 days and you had nothing to do with their disappearance then maybe reporting the missing child on day 1 would have helped the police find the "real" killer/kidnapper, the childs remains WERE found not too far from the home after all.
I'm told perjury is five years a pop, so good on them for proving one case at least. Circumstantial evidence is still not proof of murder though, and try as you might you won't be able to list every word of an entire month of evidence, witnesses and cross examination. The bottom line is that the jury saw everything you did and a LOT of stuff you didn't, and they acquitted her. There are only twelve people on Earth whose opinion on whether she murdered her child matters, and neither of us is one of them.
She has been in prison for 3 years already and the most they can send her in for is 4 years. So she might not do any time and if she does any it will only be another year.
Casey Anthony found the only 12 people on earth that didnt think she was guilty, Congratulations!

I can tell you exactly why a jury didn't find her guilty of perjury, child neglect etc:

she was found guilty of 7 counts of lying to the Authorities

Then she'll do some pretty hard time.

The judicial system IS based on the belief it's better to free the guilty than condemn the innocent.
