Also a good point. Joel Send a noteboard - 06/07/2011 12:23:16 AM
The jury is the only group that matters; I wasn't there, and they were. Who are we to claim we understand the facts better than they do?

the public was presented with all the evidence the jury was too so based on the statements and evidence released by the authorities I wold say a guilty verdict would be totally reasonable. I guess the real issue here is how shitty does a lawyer have to be to NOT get a guilty verdict form this case.

The biggest difference is that the public got to be the mobtastic peanut gallery on this. They did not have to weigh all of the facts seriously and then make a judgment on someone's life.

I didn't watch any of it, so I can't say anything for certain, but I have to say that if the jury didn't find her guilty, the public might want to spend some time rethinking rather than assuming it was all a farce.

It's very easy to sit in your living room screaming that she deserves to die when you don't have to throw the switch. Yet another reason justice shouldn't be a spectator sport. I'm still trying to figure out why this qualifies as news any place but FL; I was vaguely aware of the case, but since I don't live there it's ultimately none of my business. It's not like there weren't plenty of children being murdered a lot closer to me who AREN'T on TV daily.
