If the debt hasn't been authorized by law then it isn't protected. Period.


I only took a few courses of Business Law when I was getting my MBA, but that phrase jumped right out at me. It pretty much kills the entire arguement.

I mean, I watch plenty of Law & Order, but surely the people up on the hill will notice that phrase and not even bother with bringing up this drama.
