That sucks. How did they manage to become hypersensitive?


I have no idea. I have chronic allergies in general, though, so it's not a huge surprise. Mucosal immunity for the loss :(
That sounds like you have a hard time seeing things nearby? I don't know if they can fix far sightedness with lasers. I heard that there may be a new procedure, but it's still very early on.

Today I heard about 2 unhappy people: one had dry eyes problems and the other didn't get her eye sight back as much as she had hoped. It's the first time I've heard about people who are unhappy about it.


*nod* those are both side effects I've heard about. The dry eyes one probably couldn't be avoided. I'd be curious as to why the other person's eyes didn't improve appropriately.

I think not only would I have a hard time surviving, I'd also become a burden to others.


pfft, if outright blind people can live in today's society, I'm sure you'd get along fine :) It'd just take some adaptation ^_^

One time I lost one contact lens and I had to get soft lenses and my eyes couldn't handle it and turned red, so I had to take them out and put back 1 hard lens, and then drive home. At the time my eye sight was a lot better than it is now, though.


Oh lovely...lol I've frequently functioned with only one contact in. it's strange :P It's really fun to jump courses on your horse with only one contact in. It encourages TRUST ;)
