I did start it, yes. - Edit 1

I think that my response to Vivien way, way down at the end is a fairly good expression of my position - I'm not trying to convince people but I wouldn't have wasted the amount of time I have if the sentiment were not as widespread as it is.

"Prudish" is a very general term, but I think that it's like a lot of other poorly-defined pyschological states, like "depression" or "narcissistic personality disorder". I can only say something along the lines of "if you exhibit 3 or more of the following symptoms you might be prudish" and then come up with a list. Off the top of my head, the following come to mind:

1. Needing the lights off for sex (or unwilling to have sex during day)
2. Uncomfortable discussing sex
3. Unwilling to perform oral sex
4. Unwilling to perform anal sex
5. Unwilling to engage in certain sexual positions (counts twice)
6. Uncomfortable with bodily fluids secreted during sex
7. Unwilling to masturbate in front of sexual partner
8. Issues with noises during sex
9. Feeling that sex is "wrong" or "sinful" (within or outside marriage)
10. Pathological need to shower after sex (i.e., not associated with removing odor from sweating or having come all over one's face and needing to conduct business after sex)
11. Unwilling/uncomfortable looking at self or others naked or genitalia or other erogenous zones
12. Unwilling/uncomfortable trying fetish requested by partner that is not dangerous or painful

I hope that this list was helpful. It's based on things that I have heard from friends and a few that I have encountered personally from time to time.

EDITED to get out that stupid fucking smiley.
