Though there do exist American girls who lack these traits, it's a bit difficult to find them. I think Tom's generalization is a pretty fair one.
I'm hoping your European friends have a better reason for considering dating American girls a "waste of time" than the supposed lack of sexual adventurousness. I will refrain from commenting on my experience with the sexuality of American women for obvious reasons, but on a general level, I for one rather like American girls.
There's no doubt that American society is a bit more prudish than Western-European society (though even with that additional qualifier, that's still a generalization that ignores the conservative parts of Western Europe), so sure, perhaps American girls are more prudish on average, but your conclusions seem fairly extreme.
You make a stupid catty remark and expect that it somehow influences peoples' opinions? I was pointing out a very valid and nearly universally held conviction. None of my European friends would even consider wasting their time dating an American girl (unless they need a green card for some reason), and nearly all of my American friends profess a preference for European women over Americans (the remainder are crazy about Asians). You can try to laugh it off all you want, but it doesn't change the way things are.
