The day the media found 4chan was a very sad day indeed. Anonymous is not a hacker group. Anonymous is only exceptionally tangentially a collective. It is a memetic force. It is a conglomeration of inanities. It is not a movement.
It's not a movement yet, but it shows that a signficant counter-culture may be stirring. This is a time of memetic upheaval, info-technology is progressing very rapidly, just look at the Arab uprising. There's definitely the possibility of new revolutionary movements.
And then you just devolve into pseudophilosophical rambling, but hey, whatever helps you sleep at night. Just don't try to imagine your way out of an actual gunfight when the SWAT team breaks down your door to arrest you for your "creative rebellion."
(1) I never advocated breaking the law. I was just pointing out that some think hacking is a force for good.
(2) Do you really think SWAT are smarter than anonymous hackers...are you sure there are enough cops to take all the hackers down?
