Just curious if you have any advice. I want one that will look okay when the lights are on (so I can watch stuff while I do homework). Unfortunately those are probably the most expensive.
I use an Epson that costs around $500 or so (or maybe it's the $700 version from a couple of years ago) and it does somewhat well with some light (I never have it close to pitch black in my classroom due to my need to watch the students). There will always be some fading, but the images were clear on the whiteboard with about a 40-45 inch picture (the projector was about 5 feet from the board in the setup I use). Add to that a mini-system I use and the result is better than a standard-def TV/DVD system.

Do any of you use a projector to watch movies?

If I've already seen it a hundred times, it makes good background. *NM*

The cost actually isn't that bad if you're ok with 720p DLP projectors.

If I was wealthy I would just buy all the projectors and try them and then throw away the bad ones *NM*
