My story germs. MINE! *slavers in a corner*
But, yeah, that sounds familiar except the part about remembering dreams for a long time (the details fade quickly, so writing them down while fresh is a necessity, else I'm stuck trying to reconstruct or reinvent continuity). It happens often enough that when I have a really interesting dream, wake up with the intent of jotting it down, then notice one or more gaping logic holes that were conveniently hidden within the dream, I'm disappointed (SF dreams are the worst about this). Still a welcome change from the days when most of my dreams were about nuclear and/or biblical apocalypse.
EDIT: Oh, and a few hours ago I actually dreat about posting here (RAFO, not this particular thread, though that would've been presciently ironic). Nothing earth shattering or fascinating; I was writing a response about public education, decided to use an NFL analogy and, after going to consult a favorite reference on the subject, found myself writing a post almost entirely about football. Given my proclivity for tangents I can't even say that's especially weird.
