Camilla made the good point that your disproportionate reaction is much more of a turn-off for potential participants than any and all death threatz from teh internetz. Banter, even when malicious, seldom has the kind of negative consequences a police investigation might have even the smallest possibility of resulting in.

It stopped being banter when people start recruiting others to join the conversation just to increase participation in the attempted group beatdown; if you can sell that to Camilla or anyone else now that I'm gone, God speed. Beyond that I'll tell you the same thing I've repeatedly told Urza: Once he pointed out his sole retraction of three separate statements deliberately made in earnest I let it drop without reporting anything to the police, but if you involving the police "disproportionate" tell it to Skype; it was their idea, not mine. As I also pointed out to Urza, I dropped the whole subject in March, so I'm not sure why those so so appalled by it insist we continue discussing it here and in a completely separate Skype chat (please let Ghav know I DID notice things "between" that chat and the so completely unrelated responses in this thread
). I'm sure the diverse and robust chat community has other things to discuss (from what I've heard my absence didn't make things as idyllic as hoped); please do so. Again, I just wanted a third party record in case he showed up uninvited and provoked something unpleasant. If you're worried about the authorities looking over your shoulder online I have bad news for you: The Man created the internet, and keeps pretty good tabs on it.
