I'm terrible at thinking them up, and quite a few of us like the idea of leaving them up for several days -- we'd run out more slowly!
Nah, just kidding, but I prefer a daily one, though I could live with two or three days. I still like the idea of defaulting to "daily" but extending the lifespan by one day for every 50 (or 75, or 100) votes. Most polls so far would be up a minimum of two days if we did that, even if the bump was at 100 votes (most would be up for three if they bumped at 50). All that said there was (of course) a poll on this topic and a majority chose "daily". Of course, given who suggested the "bump" you probably already know all this.
