So my brother and his wife are splitting up. They're both fairly young, but did buy a house together and are married (obviously, since, you know, it's his wife). It's going to be a really bad one, as some of her family members are pretty close to us.

I'm not sure if I can handle it. I mean, I can handle it, I don't know if I can be there for him in the way he needs people now. He has his friends as well, but I've always felt he had a strong shoulder to lean on in me. I have some savings, so I could always support him financially. I'm wise beyond my years and absurdly rational. Clever and social, able to diffuse most difficult situations with a jest or a hand shake.

But this is something else. And therefor I turn to Wotmania (yeah, I'm still going to call it wotmania, whatever), as I'm sure someone here went through the same thing, and can tell me their story, and how they dealt with it. I would appreciate that very much.
