the problem comes with the *cause* of the climate change, and whether or not we can affect the rate it happens. most of the denial revolves around whether climate change is man-made, or whether it is a natural process and we just happen to have a particularly bad spate of it in recent times.
and that doesn't even take into account the argument that there may not *be* anything we can do to stop the process except ride it out and adapt. yes, we can change our habits and try to minimize the damage but in the long run this thing is going to play itself out one way or the other.
