I prayed and prayed that I would be spared the spectacle of the Royal Wedding, and thanks to a 5-day power blackout (most of Huntsville still has no power, as far as I know) I was treated to a 100% media blackout, except for radio programming that was obsessed with what gas stations had enough power to pump gas and where people could buy ice and groceries.
Now I just have to figure out which deity I believe in, since I wasn't praying to any in particular. Considering the death and destruction, one of the vengeful ones, I guess. Kali?
